How to Track and Assess in COPA
Family Engagement is an interactive process of relationship-building for early childhood professionals. Research shows that family engagement helps extend teaching beyond the classroom and creates a more positive experience for children.
It’s part of the Head Start Performance Standards, and why agencies work hard to promote and track parents’ engagement with their children and with staff.
But how do you measure family engagement at the program level?
COPA has THREE ways to help you assess and track Family Engagement right in your database.
1) Family Assessment Tool — designed using the PFCE Interactive Framework, to get families involved with agency staff and with their child.
2) Family Goals — a roadmap to track progress, define action plans and assign responsibilities for follow-up.
3) Family Services, Child Outcomes, Professional Development, and Community Engagement (CAP) — can all be tracked with a few clicks.
